Oksnøen Leir has been organizing summer camps and camp schools for children and young people for over 70 years. With 1500—2000 participants each season, they are one of Norway's most sought-after camp schools, renowned for quality and fully booked periods.

Where we started

Oksnøen Leir needed a solution that could handle the pressure when booking opened, and at the same time make the process easier for both parents and employees. The old solution was no longer keeping up with the needs — either technically, utilistically or administratively. Some of the problems identified were:

The goal and mission of Skalar

Our goal was to develop a stable and user-friendly platform that could be launched quickly — and that would ensure Oksnøen a continued lead in a competitive market. We prioritized functionality based on insight into users' needs and delivered a system that both gives parents peace of mind when booking and saves employees time and frustration.

Skalar came into contact with Oksnøen only a few months before the launch and it was therefore a hairy goal to build a new solution that could be launched only 3 months later. Skalar therefore did a great job of helping Oksnøen decide on critical functionality, before we then worked smoothly and efficiently towards the launch date.
